MOONKIL TRUST was founded by philanthropist, broad-minded social service personalities to implement social service programs that improve the livelihood of underprivileged people in Theni District, Tamil Nadu.
Our mission is to improve the socio-economic and educational development of rural poor people and hill area communities across all our target areas, implementing every program with our own funds.
To improve the socio-economic and educational development of rural poor people and hill-area people through poverty alleviation, literacy and awareness programmes, skill and vocational trainings, self-employment support, loan facilities, and health and environment upliftment programmes in our target villages.
To develop our target villages socially, economically, educationally and environmentally in every respect — through skill development, evening study centres, solar energy in remote areas, agricultural support, health insurance, identity documents, and welfare for farmers, the elderly, widows, orphans and the differently abled.
Self-help groups, interest-free loans and skill trainings that help women earn a livelihood and escape the cycle of high-interest moneylending.
